High-Quality Veterinary Services From A Reputable Animal Hospital In Northwood
Northwood Veterinary Hospital has been around for about 30 years, but it has been owned by Dr. Hugh Davis, our expert veterinarian, since 2015. In that time, Dr. Davis has been providing outstanding vet care to help keep pets healthy and happy. We are proud to offer various services to the Northwood animal community. Here are a few that we have at our animal hospital.

General Wellness Care: Wellness care is a vital part of a pet’s health. From vaccinations, exams, and preventative care, these essential services take a look at the health of a pet and ensures that he can remain healthy throughout his lifetime.

Anesthesia and Pain and Patient Monitoring: Trust us when we say anesthesia is necessary when we are doing a surgical procedure. Not only can it make sure that your pet does not feel pain, but it is a safety precaution for both veterinary staff and pets. Throughout the procedure, we will monitor your pet’s level of pain as well as his vitals, giving you the peace of mind.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: A health problem can arise at any time and it can show up with no symptoms. During your pet’s wellness exam, we check for issues that could complicate his well-being. We will then diagnose, treat, and monitor it.

State-of-the-art Diagnostics: To make a more precise diagnosis of a condition without having to refer you to another specialist, we use the latest veterinary technology. We have digital radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound equipment.

Complete Dental Services: Did you know that your animal’s health can turn for the worse if his oral health is bad? Periodontal disease is a common problem that affects dogs and cats and damages the organs if the mouth is not properly taken care of. Our veterinarians and staff encourage pet owners in Northwood to schedule dental cleaning appointments to keep their animals’ mouths, teeth, and gums healthy. We can perform extractions, provide cleaning, offer treatment, and take digital images of the mouth.

In-house Laboratory: Sometimes, in urgent situations, a veterinarian needs the results of lab work immediately. Here at our animal hospital, we are proud to have an in-house laboratory that can provide test results quicker. We can analyze blood, urine, and fecal matter.

Nutritional Counseling: Staying healthy can be hard for pet like humans. If your pet is underweight or overweight, our veterinarians can make the necessary adjustments to help him to have a healthy weight.

Cold Laser Therapy: Cold laser therapy is a unique treatment that uses low levels of light to help reduce inflammation in the soft tissue. It is a method we use to help a pet to manage pain.

Surgical Care: In some cases, a pet needs to have a surgical procedure performed to improve his well-being and health, including spay and neuter, soft tissue repairment, and orthopedic injury care. Rely on us to help your animal when he needs surgery.
