Our caring and compassionate veterinary team!

Meet the team of Northwood Veterinary Hospital! We strive to provide exceptional services for you and your pets.

  • Dr. Hugh Davis
    Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Hugh Davis was selected for the inaugural class of Tufts Veterinary in Massachusetts. In his 30 years of practice, he has focused on top quality medicine with a common sense approach that concentrates on the pet and engages the owner. He has worked in rural locations and in Boston, in single and multi-doctor practices, and also emergency medicine. As the owner of NVH, Dr. Davis is happy to bring extensive experience of experience to what he enjoys the most - practicing community-based medicine with ongoing and long-term relationships with his clients.

While Dr. Davis loves all aspects of caring for his patients, he has a special interest in surgery, especially orthopedics. He continues to hone his skills in these areas with continuing education in the latest techniques and procedures.

He lives on a small farm here in Northwood with his wife, Nancy Fantom, owner of Saddleback Pet Services. They have 3 great children, 2 incredibly cute grandsons, and many four-footed friends. Dr. Davis and Nancy love to travel and have been co-leaders of a spay/neuter mission to rural Mexico since 2000.
